FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A protective order was imposed on a Fairfield man after he was arrested on disorderly conduct charges after a domestic dispute, police said.
Officers arrived at a Davis Road home shortly after midnight Sunday when a neighbor called to report a dispute taking place, police said.
Sean Massey, 41, had gotten into an argument with a female family member earlier in the evening, according to the police report. When the victim went to dial 911, he took the phone and threw it against the wall, police said.
The phone reportedly bounced off the wall and hit one the two children, ages 8 and 5, who were present, police said. Massey also pushed the female victim, police said.
Officers took Massey into custody at the home and charged him with disorderly conduct and interfering with emergency calls. He was released on a promise to appear and given a court date of Jan. 27.
A temporary protective order was issued against Massey after the incident.
