Fairfield Man Falls Off Roof Clearing Snow

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield fire department rescued a man who fell off his roof on Woodridge Avenue early Saturday afternoon.

He was transported to the hospital, a fire official said.

The official said the man was trying to get the heavy snow off his roof. He said there have been a number of roof collapses around the state that occurred after residents went up on the roof to clear the snow.

The official didn't release the resident's name.
