Fairfield Man Reports $4,750 in Motorcycles, Bikes Stolen From Garage

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — An Algonquin Road resident reported he saw a stranger enter his 6-acre property three times early Saturday morning, leaving with a motorcycle and two mountain bikes valued at $4,750, Fairfield police said.

However, he didn’t report the incidents to police until Saturday afternoon, police said.

The victim said he saw a man enter his property at 3 a.m., leaving with a $4,000 motorcycle that was stored in his garage, police said. He told police the man returned around 3:30 a.m. and again at 4 a.m., each time leaving with a mountain bike worth $500 and $250, respectively, police said.

Police said a garage window was broken in the incidents, which the man reported around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
