Fairfield Police Accuse 3 Women Of Using Strollers To Steal From Marshalls

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield police arrested three Bridgeport women who attempted to stroll out of the local Marshalls with $339 in merchandise hidden in their children's strollers on Friday, Nov. 7, police said.

Officers were called to the scene after the suspects attempted to leave the store on Post Road with the merchandise stuffed under their infant sons’ strollers, police said.

Claudia Fernandez, 23, and Kiara Fernandez, 21, of Huntington Road and Nora Perdoma, 39, of Artic Street, each were charged with injury, risk or impairing the morals of a minor, sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, according to police.

Claudia Fernandez’s 10-month-old son and Kiara Fernandez’s 4-month-old son were riding in the strollers that were used to conceal the merchandise, police said.

Each of the three women was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 19.
