Around 7:30 p.m. the pair entered the Post Road eatery and the woman went to the counter and ordered a donut. When the cashier opened the register, the man pulled out what appeared to be a silver semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the cashier, police said.

He then jumped over the counter, stole the entire tray and headed for the door. On the way out he noticed a patron’s cell phone and wallet on a table and grabbed those before heading out the east side door, police said.

An undetermined amount of cash was stolen. No suspect vehicle was seen and the victims did not see which way the thieves went.
