Shortly before 10 p.m, Feras Halabi, 20, of Brentwood Avenue, and Kavon Bevis Polk, 19, of Longfellow Avenue, were nabbed after officers on the scene watched them emerge from an alcove near Kings Highway East and Brentwood, snatch the food from the driver and run down a dark road, police said.

Police located Halabi on Berwick Avenue and found Polk a short distance away.

Each was charged with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny, police said. Polk was also charged with interfering with an officer.

Each was held on $10,000 bond, police said. They are expected to appear in court on April 14.

The incident was similar to two others, police said. Each time, the caller placed a delivery order and gave an address near a hookah lounge on Kings Highway East, police said. When the delivery person arrived, the pair of thieves grabbed the bag of food and ran off without paying, police said.

Police are seeking warrants for Halabi and Polk for the other two cases.
