FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield police were called to the TJ Maxx on Friday afternoon after a woman said a man had sexually assaulted her, police said.
According to the police report, a female shopper reported that she felt something brush up against her while she was shopping. When she turned around, she saw a young black man masturbating near her, police said.
Police charged Jean Yves Leconte, 25, of Bridgeport, with breach of peace, public indecency, obscenity and fourth-degree sexual assault.
This was not Leconte's first arrest on such charges in Fairifleld, police said. He was charged in May with masturbating in public at Kohl's . In 2010, police arrested Leconte at his home on several charges of public exposure .
In the most recent incident, Leconte was held on $10,000 bond and released with a court date of Sept. 9 at Bridgeport Superior Court.
