Fairfield Police Investigate Report Of Suspicious Man Near Golf Course

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Fairfield police are warning parents that an unknown and suspicious man was seen twice over the weekend in the area of Sky Top Drive and the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. 

On Sunday, a young boy from the neighborhood reported that a man was watching him in the woods that runs between his house and the golf course at about 3:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. 

According to the police report, the boy said the man fled quickly into the woods after being noticed. 

The male was described as “younger looking, possibly white, tall and skinny, wearing a dark shirt.”

This incident is under investigation by the Fairfield Police Department. The parent community is urged to:

  • Remain vigilant in observing and reporting any suspicious vehicles, persons, activities or anything that is otherwise not normal for their area.
  • Regularly reinforce with their children to avoid suspicious persons and vehicles.
  • Encourage their children to talk about anything abnormal they observe throughout their day.
