FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Police were called to the CVS Pharmacy on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, Saturday evening after employees report being robbed.
A supervisor at the store called police after a man said he and an accomplice were armed. They demanded workers to fill paper bags with cash from the vault and oxycodone and roxycodone from the pharmacy.
The supervisor told police that a cashier had called her out of the back office saying that a customer needed help. When she reached the front of the store, the man had one hand holding his cellphone to his head and the other was in his pocket.
He told the supervisor to take him into the back room and put cash and checks into CVS paper bags and then told her to fill the same bags with the medication.
After she had filled the bags with the medication and money, he reportedly left the store and was gone when police arrived. No one saw a second man in the store.
Police are currently investigating the robbery.
