FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A receptionist a Christies Animal Hospital in Fairfield reported to police that a woman attempted to solicit laughing gas over the phone Thursday night.
According to the report, the woman told the receptionist that she worked for a Dr. Brown in Oxford, Conn., and they had several surgeries in the morning and were in need of additional isoflurane, or laughing gas.
The receptionist told police she was asked to simply put the laughing gas outside the door of the hospital and it would be picked up early in the morning.
Police report that there is a veterinarian Dr. Brown in Oxford, but that they had let a technician go two weeks ago for stealing laughing gas. A similar theft also happened in Norwalk.
