Officers responded to the home Monday when the homeowner called after noticing a portion of her jewelry was missing, police said.

Unsure whether a suspect was still in the home, officers worked through the home to clear and secure the property, police said.

Upon investigation, detectives determined that there was no forced entry into the home and all windows and doors were secured, according to police.

Officers found a set of footprints leading from a back door, down a porch and into the homeowner's back yard that may belong to the suspect, police said.

According to the report, no rooms were rummaged through, the home looked organized and the jewelry was kept in an unsuspecting place, police said.

The homeowner told officers that she had been in and out of her home all day and that she also employed a painter and maid, according to police.
