FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield police officer will take a bird's-eye view of Fairfield Center next Friday as part of the department’s annual Cop on Top fundraiser for the Special Olympics.
On May 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., an officer will be stationed on the roof of 1499 Post Road, at the intersection with Reef Road. Other officers will be collecting donations in the intersection below. There will also be music and other activities in Sherman Green across the street.
Fairfield Police are also asking for businesses to help support their annual Torch Run, which will also benefit the Special Olympics. Those interested can sign up to sponsor a mile of the run, or can sponsor a runner to have their names featured on the Carry the Torch Plaque.
For more information on Cop on Top or the Torch Run, or to sign up to be a sponsor, visit the Fairfield Police website.
