Fairfield Police Release Suspect's Photo In Wallet, Credit Card Theft

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman believed to have stolen a wallet from a car parked in Southport and used credit cards at several businesses in Bridgeport on June 8, police said Tuesday.

The police department released two photos of the suspect, a white woman believed to be in her 20s with brown hair, who was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt when she was caught on surveillance video, police said.

On June 8, around noon, someone entered a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Pequot Avenue in Southport, police said. A wallet containing credit cards was taken. 

A short time later the cards were used at businesses in the area of Park Avenue and State Street in Bridgeport, police said.

Police believe the suspect may work in Southport and commute via Greater Bridgeport Transit buses.
