An employee at a Stillson Road dialysis clinic told police that Damon Jones, 37, came to the office Friday afternoon asking to see his girlfriend, who is an employee there. The employee took Jones to a side room to explain that the woman was not there, and he pulled out the handle of a pistol tucked in his waistband, according to the police report.

Officers went to Jones’ home in Bridgeport to discuss the incident, and another resident granted them permission to search the house and his car, police said. No weapons were found in the house, but a set of throwing knives were inside the vehicle, police say.

Police were also told that Jones had visited a friend’s home in Bridgeport before arriving at his own house, according to the police report. The resident allowed police to search that home, and officers found a semi-automatic 7.62-millimeter assault rifle, a BB gun and boxes of ammunition, police say. Investigators believe the guns belonged to Jones, according to police reports. He did not have permits for any of the guns, police say.

Jones was arrested and charged with two counts of a breach of the peace, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a pistol, carrying weapons in a motor vehicle, carrying a pistol without a permit and second-degree threatening. He was held on $250,000 bond, and was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
