Luis Santos, 18, was charged with first-degree larceny in the April 5 incident. He was arrested while in court on another matter.

The victim told officers he left his black Ford F150 running outside the 7-Eleven on Reef Road, ducking in to get a coffee to go around 5:15 a.m. The truck contained his briefcase, a MacBook, his wallet, an iPad and an iPhone, he said.

He saw a teen drive away in the truck heading north on Reef and reported the theft, police said.

Stratford police spotted Santos in the car not long afterwards, police said.

Bond was set at $5,000.
