Fairfield Police Ticket NYC Man For Smashing Garden Gnome

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield Police issued a ticket to a New York City man who smashed a garden gnome from a local home on Friday, Nov. 7, according to ctpost.com.

Officers noticed the destroyed gnome during a patrol and later found Thomas Leigh walking nearby, with residue from the gnome on his hands, ctpost.com reported.

Officers issued Leigh a ticket, but the homeowners did not press charges, ctpost.com said.
