Officers went to the Campfield Drive home after receiving several calls about a loud verbal argument in the house, police said.
Before arriving, officers were told that the teen and his brother had been arguing about an incident at school that day, police said. The teenager became incensed and scratched his brother before grabbing several stones and throwing them at his brother's car before running off, police said.
When the officer arrived, he was told that the teenager had left. But shortly thereafter, the teen walked toward the officer with a hand in his pants' pocket, police said.
The brother warned the officer to be careful, police said. When the teen got closer, he threw a rock at the brother's car, shattering the rear passenger window, before attempting to run away, police said.
Several people attempted to stop him in front of the officer, resulting in more injuries to the brother and father, the police report said.
The teenager was taken to police headquarters, where he began to complain of chest pain from asthma, police said. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. A member of his extended family went to the hospital to take custody of him.
Police charged the teenager with two counts of third-degree assault, third-degree assault to an elderly person, disorderly conduct, first-degree criminal mischief and resisting an officer.
