Fairfield Tree Calls It Quits, Damages House And Car

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A tree fell on the front lawn of a Fairfield house Saturday evening, damaging the roof and crushing the rear portion of a vehicle parked outside, fire officials said.

Engine 3 responded at 7:33 p.m. to a report of a tree on a house at 73 Lisbon Drive, according to the Fairfield Fire Department. 

Fire officials found two spots where the tree had made holes in the roof, but a building official found no additional significant structural damage during an inspection. Fire officials secured the holes in the roof area with tar paper, the fire department said.

Engine 3 checked the vehicle for leaks or other hazards. Services to the residence were not damaged in the incident, according to the fire department.
