FAIRFIELD, Conn. – While many were celebrating Halloween on Thursday night at the Seagrape in Fairfield, a Fairfield University student was charged with breach of peace after yelling and swearing at an officer, police said.
A police sergeant had been trying to get a woman out of the middle of the road near the club when Jordan Greenfield, 21, of Dover, Mass., went up and began yelling for him to take his hands off the woman, police said.
According to the police report, bouncers at the Seagrape removed Greenfield from the club and two officers had warned him to stay away from the area.
Greenfield attempted to push an officer to get to the sergeant, causing more people to go outside and creating a greater disturbance, police said.
Officers handcuffed Greenfield and took him into custody as he continued to yell and swear, police said.
He was charged with breach of peace and interfering with a police officer and was released on $1,000 bond. He is due in court Nov. 13.
