FAIRFIELD, Conn. - A Fairfield woman was charged with breach of peace after she was accused of throwing a ball at a CVS Pharmacy cashier late Monday night.
Police report that Mariam Farhan, 66, got into an argument with an employee at the CVS because she had been given the wrong discount and wanted the transaction re-done.
The CVS employee told police that she had helped Farhan previously, and that when Farhan wanted the transaction to be done again, the computer system had already begun to turn off, something they do automatically when the store closes.
Farhan reportedly got angry and threw a Nerf Water Ball at the employee's chest before the employee called the police.
When police arrived, they charged Farhan with breach of peace and she was released on a promise to appear at Bridgeport Superior Court on Aug. 26. She was warned to not return to the CVS store on Grasmere Avenue.
