On Thursday, Oct. 30, the woman left Waggies, a dog-grooming salon, and began crossing the road outside of a sidewalk while carrying a cup of coffee and her purse, police said.

She crossed two lanes of traffic, as vehicles yielded for her to cross, but was hit by a vehicle in the third lane that failed to yield, police said.

The Fairfield woman was not injured, aside from a coffee splatter, and refused medical treatment, police said.
