FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A truck driver was killed early Saturday morning at a rest stop on I-95 in Fairfield after a car stuck the cab full on, published reports said.

The truck driver, a North Carolina resident, was in the “sleeper berth” of his truck when the cab was struck, according to reports. The impact caused both the cab and the car to catch fire. Hi Geoff;
You dont know me but you might have some information for me that might be very important. It is my understanding that you were at the scene of the accident that happened on Dec 1st, when the car crashed into the truck that was parked at the rest area in Fairfield. The truckdriver that was killed in that accident was my husband; we would have been married for 15yrs on Jan 1st. If you have any information that u think would shed some light on this nightmare that I have been trying to make sense of, I hope that u wont mind sharing it with me. Thank you for any information that you might have. Jennifer

First and foremost, my sincere condolences on your loss. I cannot imagine what you must be dealing with.

one week has gone by and every newspaper in CT along with various newspapers in NC have reported on this story, you are the only who thinks there was a fire! If there was a fire do you not think that there might have been an enormous explosion??? As the cab the car hit whilst flying through the air was parked along the rest area at 21, was parked no more than 12 feet from the gas pumps. EDIT the story and report what really happened!

there was NO FIRE! I was there...check your source
