Fifth Suspect Charged In Fairfield Prostitution Case

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield police have charged a fifth person in connection with a prostitution investigation Diedra’s Health Salon, according to police reports.

Police began investigating the Post Road massage parlor in 2011 after receiving anonymous tips that prostitution was being offered at the business, police say. Officers reported being offered sexual services during undercover operations at the massage parlor, according to police reports.

Joann S. Carroll, 44, of Fort Myers, Fla., was charged with promoting prostitution, a felony. Carroll, one of the spa's co-owners, turned herself in at Fairfield police headquarters Monday afternoon after learning of a warrant for her arrest, police say.

Three former employees were charged with prostitution in connection with the case last week. Carroll’s business partner, Sun Cha Johnson, 66, of Clearwater, Fla., was also charged with promoting prostitution last Friday.
