BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Several fights broke out at Bassick High School in Bridgeport on Thursday, leading the school to be placed on lockdown mode and ending with the arrest of 10 people, according to the Connecticut Post.

Police told the Connecticut Post that the fights broke out at around lunchtime, and that the school was placed on lock in, lock out mode as a precaution. The incident was over by 1:15 p.m., the Connecticut Post reported.

A total of 10 people were arrested, nine of whom were juveniles and one who was an 18-year-old, according to the Connecticut Post. The identities and charges of those arrested were not immediately available, according to the Connecticut Post.

There were some minor injuries reported following the fights, and school officials are investigating the cause of the fights, the Connecticut Post reported.
