Former Kohl's Employee Arrested in Theft Of Cash, Merchandise

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A former Kohl’s employee was arrested Monday after he stole about $500 from his register and about $87 in merchandise over several months in 2015, police said.

Loss prevention staff at the Tunxis Hill Road department store investigated and reviewed videotape of 23-year-old Anthony Palmer, of Shell Street, Bridgeport, before police issued a warrant for his arrest, according to police reports. The investigation revealed Palmer showed register shortages beginning in January 2015, police said.

He turned himself in at the Fairfield Police Department around 6 p.m. Monday. He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 19, police said.
