The 40-year-old victim called police about 1 a.m. Monday after a woman he knows only as “Amanda” came to his home, had sex with him and then said she had to get something from her car, police said. When she didn’t return, the man went to look for her and found $500 he left on a counter missing and “Amanda” nowhere to be found, police said.

The man told officers he met “Amanda,” who said she was an escort, online and she agreed to come to his home and have intercourse with him for $200 three weeks ago, police said. He believed last night’s “hookup” would be free because they were “developing a friendship,” police said.

The victim told police he didn’t have an address for “Amanda,” just a phone number.
