Shortly after 2 p.m., officers were called to the store after Tammy Senecal, 46, of Bridgeport, attempted to take $408 in merchandise from the store in her large black purse, police said.

Loss prevention told officers that Senecal walked past all points of sale and made no attempt to purchase any of the items, police said. She had men’s and women’s clothing and houseware items in her purse after removing the packaging in a dressing room, police said.

Senecal told officers that the items were for herself and her family, police said. Officers charged her with sixth-degree larceny and issued a misdemeanor summons with a promise to appear in court Nov. 19.

At 5 p.m., police charged Michael Torres-Delgado, 37, of Bridgeport. He was stopped after he put a $24.99 iLive mobile phone charger in his pocket and attempted to leave the store, police said.

Police charged Torres-Delgado with sixth-degree larceny and released him on a misdemeanor summons with a promise to appear in court Nov. 22.
