Laptop Stolen From Fairfield Spa Via Hole Cut In Wall, Police Say

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield police responded to an overnight robbery on Kings Highway East, and while only a laptop was stolen, the manner in which the burglary was executed was unusual.

Sometime overnight between Dec. 10 and 11, a suspect gained entry to Blue Wave Foot Spa through an unlocked elevator maintenance room adjacent to the spa, police said. The suspect then cut a hole in the sheet rock wall, police said.

The hole, with about a 3-foot diameter, is directly next to the entrance of the Blue Wave Foot Spa. At this time, police have no suspect and there were no witnesses to the crime, police said.

According to Fairfield Police, the laptop is valued at $1,000. An investigation is underway, police said.
