WESTPORT, Conn. — A 62-year-old local man was arrested on charges of causing a disturbance at a Westport restaurant and refusing to leave, police said.
On Tuesday, arriving officers found Gerard Gaspel of Westport as he was leaving the restaurant, police said.
Gaspel was identified as the man who had been causing a disturbance inside, police said.
Two investors were meeting when Gaspel approached them, "said derogatory things about the establishment and challenged one to a physical confrontation," police said.
When asked to leave, Gaspel refused, police said.
Gaspel was taken into custody and charged with breach of peace. He was released after posting $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court on Nov. 30.
