FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Loss prevention agents at the Fairfield Stop & Shop stopped a man they accused of stealing $408 in items concealed in his pants and jacket.
According to the police report, the store agents watched as Terrell Gantt, 26 of Bridgeport, put items like soap, razors, sprays, deodorants, battery packs and Tylenol into his pants and jacket Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called and came to the scene to speak with Gantt. He was asked what he was doing and responded with "nothing." Shortly after, items began to fall out of his pants.
It was discovered that he was wearing two pairs of pants and was stuffing the items between them.
Gantt was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and released on a promise to appear at Bridgeport Superior Court on Oct. 14.
