Man Found Shot To Death In Car In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — An unidentified man was found shot in the head and slumped over the wheel of his car on Staples Street in Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon, according to the Connecticut Post.

It was the second fatal shooting in Bridgeport in a 24-hour period. On Saturday evening, 33-year-old Derrick Hill was killed and owner Dennis Hines 50, was injured in a shooting at Rootsman Kitchen on Park Avenue.

The second victim was found in his car, with South Carolina plates, at 36 Staples St. with a gunshot wound to his head, the Post said.

Police had not officially declared that the man in the car died as the result of a homicide, but the Post said it was likely a murder.
