Massage Therapist Charged With Sexual Assault Of Customers In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. -- A New York massage therapist was arrested by Shelton Police on Tuesday on charges of sexual assaulting two women who were receiving massages at the Coco Spa in Shelton, police said.

According to Shelton Police, Kim Hyung, 53, of Fresh Meadows N.Y., was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and practicing massage without a license, after the police department received two complaints from female clients of Hyung.

The first complaint came on May 6, from a 36-year-old woman, who said that Hyung inappropriately touched her during a massage at the spa located at 704 Bridgeport Ave., police said.

Another woman complained to police on May 28 that Hyung inappropriately touched and spoke to her during a massage session at Coco Spa.

Neither woman knew each other, and during the arrest it was discovered that he did not have a license to practice massage therapy in the state, police said.

Police are still investigating the incidents are asking anyone who may have experienced a similar incident at the spa to contact the Shelton police at 203-924-1544.
