The appearance of Officers Mark Blackwell and Joey Aqosto on the popular news program followed the two as they went about their day of "community policing," by playing basketball with local youths, by answering a few calls they were able to diffuse, and by asking them how they felt about their jobs today, said ABC News.
On the video, Agosto, said he sometimes feels like a camera is always in his face and that he is scared when he comes to work, but does it to protect others.
Blackwell agrees, saying they are judged on split-second decisions, not on the hours of work they put in to getting to know the community and their work to keep them safe. He also pointed out areas in town where shootings have occurred and discussed the rampant problem of black-on-black crime that he says is "out of control," the video shows.
But, in the end, the video also shows that both men love their jobs, their city, and the people in it.
