Norwalk Man Charged With Drug Sale In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Norwalk man was charged Saturday night with selling marijuana near Fairfield Woods Middle School, according to police reports.

Police first stopped the suspect after he was seen riding a skateboard in the middle of Fairfield Woods Road at 10 p.m. Saturday. When the officer warned him of the danger of riding at night, the man began acting suspiciously, putting his hands in his pockets, police said.

An officer found three individually wrapped bags of marijuana and an electronic scale in the man’s pockets, according to police reports. Police also are investigating his connection to another man found sitting in a parked car nearby with packages of marijuana, police said.

Michael Kunytskyy, 20, of Norwalk was charged with the illegal sale of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. He was released on a promise to appear in court, and assigned a court date Oct. 1.
