Fairfield Police: Man's Leads Officers To 300 Bags Of Heroin

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- After busting a suspected drug dealer from Bridgeport on a warrant in the parking lot of a Fairfield clothing store, officers turned up 300 bags of heroin and $3,000 in cash during searches of two homes and a car, police said.

The arrest on Tuesday, March 31, came at the culmination of a “lengthy investigation,” police said Wednesday.

Officers stopped Christian Pichardo, 20, of Roslyn Terrace, in the Kohl’s parking lot at 290 Tunxis Hill Road, where they executed a search-and-seizure warrant on his motor vehicle, police said.

The investigation, executed by Fairfield Police’s Drug Squad, Detective Bureau, Special Services and Patrol Division, led officers to execute two more search-and-seizure warrants at two Bridgeport houses a short while later, police said.

Those two searches led to the discovery of about 300 bags of heroin, nearly $3,000 in cash and a loaded firearm missing its serial number, according to police.

Police said they believe Pichardo is involved in a heroin distribution operation working in and around Fairfield.

Pichardo was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics 1,500 feet of a school and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He was held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 10.
