FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 68-year-old Bridgeport man faces several charges after he drove his car the wrong way around a Fairfield rotary Friday, striking another car head on, police said.

Dale Parks, 68, of Soundview Avenue, was traveling west on Kings Highway East around 10:15 p.m., when he turned left onto the eastbound lanes of Black Rock Turnpike near the Staples Plaza, police said.

No one was injured in the incident, but Parks faces charges of driving while under the influence, failure to insure, operating under suspension, failure to drive right, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving the wrong way in a rotary, police said.

He posted $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 15, police said.
