Police: Fairfield Woman Reports $3K Worth Of Jewelry Missing

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Llyod Place resident returned home Saturday to find a brown box out of place in her bedroom, Fairfield police said.

Police said a Lloyd Place resident could not locate five watches, 25 bracelets and 30 rings. The estimated value of the missing property is $3,000, police said.

When she looked around her room, she noticed that lots of her jewelry — mainly costume jewelry — was missing, police said.

Police said they could not determine a point of entry into the residence.

The resident told police she left the house at about 10:40 a.m. and returned at 1 p.m., police said.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
