Police: Fleeing Suspect Hit Parked Cars In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A suspect was arrested  Wednesday and accused of crashing into two parked cars in Fairfield while attempting to get away from Bridgeport Police in January

Bridgeport Police were attempting to arrest a suspect early in the morning on Jan. 5, police said. The man led officers on a car chase onto Interstate 95 before getting off at exit 24 and turning onto Chambers Street. He then cut across the Cumberland Farms parking lot and Kings Highway, eventually driving through a wood  fence and into two cars parked in the lot of Miller Nissan, police said.

Bridgeport Police identified the driver as Jeremy Robinson, 21, of Bridgeport. Fairfield Police arrested him on a warrant Wednesday.

Robinson was charged with evading responsibility, a misdemeanor, and issued violations for failure to drive on the right and going the wrong way on a divided highway. He was held on a $1,000 bond, and is due in court next on March 12.
