Police Identify Three Men Shot To Death In Bridgeport Over Weekend

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport police identified the victims of two separate and unrelated fatal shootings early Sunday as two 44-year-old city residents, the Connecticut Post reported.

Ronald Simmons was shot to death on State Street during a dispute with a neighbor, police told the Post.

Reginald May was shot to death two hours later on Alice Street , the Post reported.

The two homicides were the 15th and 16th of 2017 in Bridgeport.

In what was a deadly weekend in the state's largest city, Chaz Rogers, 37, was found at about 3 a.m. Saturday on Stratford Avenue. He died later of his injuries, including at least one gunshot to the head.

Also Saturday, the body of a man was recovered from the water near the dock for the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson ferry, police said. That death also remains under police investigation.
