Police: Mom Feels Threatened As Man Yells At Fairfield School Bus Driver

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - A woman told Fairfield police that while getting her special-needs daughter onto a school bus a man went up to the bus driver and began yelling at them for taking too long, a police report said.

The incident took place at Merwins Lane and Redding Road on the morning of July 10. The woman told police that a well-dressed man got out of his car and went up to the bus driver to yell about the amount of time it was taking to move on, police said.

According to the report, the woman had been on the bus for less than a minute to buckle in her special-needs daughter when the man came up to the bus. She said she attempted to explain the situation to the man, police said. He told her that she had to be earlier in the future or "this is going to be a problem," the police report said.

The mother took this as a threat and has not used the bus since the incident occurred, police said. Police were continuing to investigate the situation.

The man was described as well dressed, with gray hair, 6 feet tall and in his 60s. He reportedly got out of a black Mercedes car.
