Police Search For Suspect In Fairfield Robbery Attempt

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Do you recognize the man in this photo? Fairfield Police say he is a suspect in an attempted robbery at Cumberland Farms on Kings Highway East Tuesday night.

A clerk at the store told police the man approached the counter and asked for a carton of cigarettes. When the woman scanned the item, the man reached over the counter and grabbed her arm, according to the police report. When he was unable to grab the cigarettes, he left the store and ran into Chambers Street, police say.

The clerk described the suspect as a white man with a thin build, blond hair and blue eyes, according to the report. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
