FAIRFIELD, Conn. – One teenager was hospitalized for intoxication after a group was found drinking alcohol on the grounds of Fairfield’s Roger Sherman School Friday night, according to police reports.

Fairfield Police responded to a report of teens drinking on the elementary school’s campus at about 9:30 p.m., Friday night. Eight teenagers were found at the school, along with cans of beer, police say.

Most of the teens were turned over to their parents after the incident, police say. But one female was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment for intoxication, according to the police report. The incident is still under investigation.
