FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Three more bicycles were reported stolen in Fairfield last week, following several reports of stolen bikes over the past few months, police said.

A Raleigh Venture bike, valued at $500, was taken from a Main Street residence in Southport between July 22 and July 23. Police said the side door to the garage, where the bike was stored, was found to be unlocked.

Officers found the missing bike on nearby River Street, police said.

On July 25, a man who rides his bike to work reported his bike had gone missing, police said. He had left it up against the wall of Cumberland Farms on the Post Road unlocked, police said.

A blue Roadmaster Granite Peak Girls' Bike valued at $120 was reportedly stolen the following day from the parking lot of Stop & Shop at 760 Villa Ave., police said. Its owner had visited several nearby stores and returned to Stop & Shop to find her bike was missing as well as its lock and chain, police said.

Last week, Fairfield Police announced they were seeking the owners of several stolen bikes that the department had recovered.
