Shana Rieder, 24, of Iranistan Avenue, was charged with evading responsibility in the Feb. 19 accident, police said.

Police said Rieder’s car was traveling east on the Post Road near North Benson Road when she swerved into the right lane, sideswiping a second vehicle, causing dents to the panel.

The car then sped off, but not before the victim gave the car’s description and license plate number to a nearby officer, police said.

Police were able to track the plate and arrested Rieder on a warrant Saturday.

She was held on $5,000 and was scheduled to appear in court Aug. 22.
