Red Cross Comes To Aid Of Bridgeport Family After Apartment Fire

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The American Red Cross is helping one family – one adult and two children — after a fire Wednesday morning at an apartment in the Charles F. Greene Homes in Bridgeport. 

There are five seven-story buildings in the Charles F. Greene Homes in Bridgeport. A fire broke out in one apartment on Wednesday morning.

The Red Cross provided assistance to meet the family’s immediate needs.

The Greene Homes is a seven-story, high-rise complex with five buildings.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits with personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant; shaving supplies and other items a resident might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
