FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was in critical condition Monday, after the motorized scooter he was riding collided with a cyclist Sunday morning, police said.
Robert Ogan, 48, of Brooklawn Avenue, was riding his motorized Razor-style scooter westbound in the eastbound lanes on Commerce Drive when it bumped into a cyclist riding eastbound in the proper lane near Black Rock Turnpike, police said.
Both riders were thrown from their vehicles, police said. The cyclist, Ricardo Carbon, 46, of Clark Street, Bridgeport, who was wearing a helmet, was treated and released at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, police said.
Ogan was brought to Bridgeport Hospital with serious head trauma, police said. He was listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit Monday, police said.
The case is under investigation by the Fairfield Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
