On July 27, a 64-year-old woman was shopping at T.J. Maxx on Bridgeport Avenue, when another woman asked her to try on some clothing because she had the same figure of the person for whom the second woman was shopping, police said.

The victim agreed and, when she came out of the dressing room, she found her purse was missing from her shopping cart, police said.

Later that day she discovered $4,187 in charges to her credit card at the Apple Store in Trumbull.

Shelton police released a surveillance photo of the suspect. Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact the Shelton Police Department at 203-924-1544.
