Sergeant Robert Chaisson Retires From Fairfield Police Department

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Sgt. Robert Chaisson retired from the Fairfield Police Department on July 7 after 29 years of dedicated service.

Chaisson was hired on March 7, 1988 and served as a patrolman before being transferred into the Special Services Division as an Accident Reconstructionist. He served in this role for 23 years, investigating some of the town's most horrific crashes. On Jan. 1, 2015 he was promoted to sergeant and served as sergeant of the Patrol Division. In 2016 he was transferred back to Special Services, where he supervised the Accident Division.

"The Fairfield Police Department is honored and thankful for the integrity and professionalism that “Bob” has displayed over his 29 years of service and we are lucky to have worked with such a loyal person," Fairfield Police posted on the department's Facebook page. "CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES IN RETIREMENT BOB!"
