State Police at Troop G received several 911 calls shortly after 3 a.m. reporting a pedestrian walking in the left shoulder or median on I-95 south near Exit 7 in Stamford, Vance said.
Troopers arrived on the scene and found a man had been struck and killed by a passing vehicle, Vance said. The victim was hit in the left lane of three southbound lanes of travel, he said.
It is unknown why he was walking on the highway, Vance said. State Troopers have attempted to identify this man without success.
Police released this description:
- Hispanic male;
- about 30 to 40 years old;
- dark brown hair;
- wearing “M R & Company” dark blue colored jeans;
- Timberland brand black-colored belt with a silver buckle;
- J Crew blue-and-white striped button down shirt, size 16 to 16 1/2.
- Grayish/blue hooded sweatshirt with a front zipper, Size XXL, Victoria brand
Anyone who might know the identity of the man is asked to contact State Police at Troop G at 203-696-2599. All calls will be kept confidential.
