FAIRFIELD, Conn. - More than $10,000 worth of supplies and equipment -- including a cast-iron tub and bathroom and kitchen sinks -- were stolen from three under-construction homes in Fairfield overnight Monday, police said.

Two of the thefts took place at construction sites on Chatham Road, police said.

At one site, nearly $5,000 in plumbing and heating equipment was taken, including a water heater, a cast-iron tub, pipe fittings and other plumbing materials, police said.

At the second site on Chatham Road, $3,400 in tile was taken, police said.

Both sites were locked and required a code to get into the buildings, police said. No sign of forced entry was found at either site, and none of the neighbors reported hearing anything suspicious, police said.

On July 29, a third house under construction on Chatham Road reported a similar incident of items stolen overnight, police said.

The third overnight burglary this week was at a home construction site on Pemburn Drive, with power tools and plumbing fixtures taken, including four toilets, a kitchen sink, four bathroom sinks, a framing gun, an 18-volt drill and two air compressors. The total estimated value of the items taken from that home was just under $3,000.

Police are investigating the incidents.
